Martina Magenau Jacobs worked as the Carnegie Mellon University Director of Alumni Relations at Heinz College. William F. Jacobs Jr., her father, was an investment banker. Lebanon. She has French German Irish Scottish and Scottish heritage. Her family in 1847 created the Jackson Koehler Eagle Brewery located in Erie Pennsylvania. John Martin Magenau Jr. acted as its COO and President until 1978 when it was shut down. Jacobs first began acting lessons when she was 8 years old and continued attending sessions on Saturdays at the Pittsburgh Playhouse. Mt. Jacobs and leaving Lebanon High School for New York City in the year 2000. She was a part of in the Drama Division of Group 33. Jacobs graduated with a bachelor's degree at the end of 2004.
